In the midst of an exciting era of category expansion, we seek a dynamic Head of Trade & Shopper Marketing to pioneer our client’s brand presence in uncharted territories. This role is instrumental in driving the strategic agenda for new categories, ensuring optimal visibility and resonance with both retail partners and end consumers. Your expertise in trade, shopper marketing and category development will be foundational in making our brand synonymous with excellence within these new spheres.
New Category Strategy:
- Lead the development and execution of trade and shopper marketing strategies specifically tailored for new category launches
- Collaborate closely with product development and brand teams to ensure a cohesive go-to-market strategy for these new categories.
Retailer Onboarding & Engagement:
- Introduce and promote new categories to existing and potential retail partners, securing optimal shelf space and positioning.
- Build and nurture relationships with key retailers, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and knowledge to champion the new categories.
Shopper Insights & Analytics for New Categories:
- Spearhead research initiatives to gain insights into shopper behavior specific to new categories.
- Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performances, ensuring new categories thrive in the marketplace.
Team Collaboration & Leadership:
- Direct and mentor the Trade & Shopper Marketing team, ensuring they are aligned with the objectives of the new category launches.
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration, particularly with teams directly impacting the new category success.
Budget Oversight for New Category Initiatives:
- Manage and allocate the trade and shopper marketing budget dedicated to new category launches.
- Drive cost-efficient and high-impact campaigns to maximize ROI.
Must have :
Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
A minimum of 10+ years in trade marketing and shopper marketing roles, with proven experience in launching new categories or products.
You have saddled both sides the Strategic and the Operational.
Demonstrated success in introducing and establishing new categories in the market.
Proficient in deriving actionable strategies from shopper and market insights.
Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Deep experience in the Kingdom and fluency in English and Arabic.
