Your Role:
We are seeking a Supply Planning & Contract Manufacturing Manager which is a strategic and multifaceted position that requires a strong blend of supply chain management, contract manufacturing oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. The main responsibilities include managing relationships with contract manufacturers to ensure timely and quality production, negotiating and maintaining contracts, resolving supply chain issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves supply planning responsibilities such as overseeing stock availability, leading the Sales & Operations Planning process, maintaining inventory levels, and coordinating with the logistics team for efficient operations.
Must Haves:
Ideal candidates for this role should have 10-15 years of experience in the FMCG industry, with at least 5 years specifically in contract manufacturing management and supply chain planning. Previous roles in plant operations and logistics would be advantageous. Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. The role reports to the Operations Head based in South Africa and is located in Johannesburg.
