Our Client: A leading distributor in the consumer goods industry.

Role Overview: With the organization focused on growth and transformation you need to bring strategic clarity and execution excellence to the table. You’ll partner with global principals, align trade and retail strategies, and lead a senior team of channel heads, category managers, and business development leads. From co-op buyer negotiations to margin modeling in van sales, and from principal on boarding to category pricing logic, this role demands a blend of sharp commercial instincts and grounded leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Full P&L for the Food Retail division —focus on revenue, margin uplift, and OPEX control.
  • Architect Route-to-Market Strategy: Build differentiated, cost-effective execution models for co-ops, modern trade, traditional trade.
  • Manage Principal Expectations: Drive alignment across 20+ brands—each with unique visibility, pricing, and velocity metrics.
  • Build Category Excellence: Enable Head of Category to deliver pricing, promotion, and portfolio depth per channel.
  • Enable Commercial Agility: Embed forecasting, trade investment logic, and data-led decision frameworks.
  • Shape the Talent Bench: Align leaders around outcomes, fix under performing layers, and strengthen succession.
  • Act as the Division’s Voice at the Table: Own the strategic narrative across cross-functional forums—aligning with Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Ops.

Your Profile:

  • 15+ years of FMCG experience with senior commercial leadership in food distribution
  • Proven P&L ownership and strategic planning capability—this is not a glorified sales role
  • Deep experience across retail channels, van sales/CPD, and food service distribution
  • Strong exposure to principal management (global brands, pricing, trade investments)
  • Track record of leading through managers, building talent pipelines, and driving performance
  • Market exposure in Kuwait or wider GCC, with a strong network in co-op and modern trade
