Our client: We’re in search of a skilled Procurement Manager specializing in protein foods to lead the procurement operations for an FMCG client based in UAE.

Your role: In this role, you’ll be the mastermind behind custom strategies, the diplomat of supplier relationships, and the guardian of top-notch protein foods at wallet-friendly prices. Develop and execute category-specific procurement strategies aligned with business objectives. Negotiate contracts and pricing terms, stay updated on market trends, and proactively mitigate procurement-related risks. Furthermore, driving cost-saving initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations are integral aspects of this role. Monitoring supplier performance and optimizing procurement efficiency are also key responsibilities.

Must have: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or a relevant field is essential. Proven experience in procurement with focus on the protein foods category. 10+ years of experience in an FMCG industry. Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive cost-saving initiatives. In-depth knowledge of the protein foods industry, including market trends, suppliers, and product specifications. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels. Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
