We are working on multiple mandates for leading organisations within the agri-commodity sector. These businesses already possess strong brand recognition, significant production capacity, and substantial financial backing. As the Saudi flour industry undergoes one of its most significant transformations in decades, they are looking to strengthen their commercial capability to unlock growth, build strategic customer relationships, and create sustainable competitive advantage.

Role Overview
This is a strategic commercial leadership role focused on driving growth across B2B, B2C, and export channels. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating operational strength and market position into contracted revenue, customer acquisition, and long-term commercial partnerships. The role requires a unique blend of commodity market understanding, commercial strategy, and customer development expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic B2B Growth

  • Design and execute a comprehensive B2B customer mapping and segmentation strategy across industrial bakeries, food manufacturers, QSR, HoReCa, and distribution channels
  • Develop and implement key account acquisition strategies that strengthen long-term customer partnerships
  • Establish market intelligence frameworks to monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and customer dynamics
  • Translate market insights into actionable commercial strategies

Marketing & Commercial Positioning

  • Partner with commercial and marketing teams to develop the overall marketing agenda
  • Create technical marketing materials and application-specific product positioning strategies
  • Develop account-based marketing programs to strengthen customer engagement and increase share of wallet
  • Support commercial teams with customer-focused value propositions

Export Market Development

  • Lead the development of export market strategies across East Africa and GCC markets
  • Build customer target lists, logistics frameworks, pricing structures, and market entry plans
  • Assess regulatory requirements and commercial readiness for export expansion
  • Position the business for future export growth opportunities

Product & Pricing Strategy

  • Own go-to-market strategies for specialty and value-added flour products including whole wheat, gluten-free, fortified, and functional flour categories
  • Align product development initiatives with B2B and B2C demand trends
  • Develop pricing frameworks that optimise profitability across bulk, industrial, and premium consumer segments
  • Support innovation and portfolio expansion initiatives

B2C Premiumisation

  • Drive growth within consumer-packaged flour categories, particularly premium pack formats
  • Build strategies to increase market share within higher-margin specialty flour segments
  • Strengthen brand positioning and retail presence across key consumer channels
  • Develop initiatives that connect consumer demand with commercial growth opportunities

Must-Have

  • Extensive experience within agri-commodities, grain processing, flour milling, commodity trading, or related sectors
  • Strong commercial leadership experience spanning B2B sales, key account management, and strategic customer development
  • Proven track record of building and managing long-term commercial relationships within industrial or commodity-based sectors
  • Deep understanding of commodity economics, procurement dynamics, and pricing strategy
  • Experience developing export markets, ideally across GCC and East Africa
  • Strong exposure to product strategy, commercial planning, and market development
  • Ability to connect upstream commodity economics with downstream customer and consumer opportunities
  • Strong understanding of both industrial B2B customers and consumer-facing market dynamics
  • Experience working across commercial, marketing, and product development functions
  • Strategic mindset combined with strong execution capability
