Our Client
Our client is a new business school in Dubai building its FinTech and Digital Finance faculty and seeking full-time academics across several faculty levels.
The programme sits at the intersection of finance, technology, data, digital platforms and financial regulation, with faculty contributing to teaching, curriculum development, research and industry engagement.
Role Overview
You will teach within the FinTech and Finance programme while helping shape its academic direction and connection with industry.
This is an opportunity to contribute while the programme is being built, rather than joining an established curriculum with limited scope for change.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate FinTech, Digital Finance and related Finance courses
- Develop content across AI in Finance, Digital Banking, Blockchain, Financial Analytics, Digital Assets, Payments and RegTech
- Use financial datasets, analytics platforms, simulations, case studies and industry projects within teaching
- Develop assessments focused on application and analytical thinking
- Supervise student research, capstone projects and industry assignments
- Contribute to curriculum design, academic quality and accreditation
- Conduct and publish research appropriate to academic rank
- Build relationships with the UAE and GCC financial and FinTech ecosystem
- Develop industry-connected learning through projects, internships and guest lectures
- Contribute to programme development and the wider academic growth of the school
Must-Have
- PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Finance, FinTech, Financial Technology, Financial Economics, Data Science, Information Systems or a closely related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience within an accredited higher education institution
- Research and publication record appropriate to the academic rank being considered
- Experience in curriculum development and student supervision
- Strong interest in applied research across finance and technology
- Industry engagement or applied FinTech experience is highly relevant
- UAE or GCC academic or financial-market exposure is advantageous
- English is mandatory; Arabic is preferred
- Senior appointments require corresponding depth in research, academic leadership, programme development and faculty mentorship
- Candidates must hold a MOHESR Equivalency Certificate / Certificate of Recognition or be eligible to obtain one within six months of employment
