Our Client
A new business school in Dubai is appointing Faculty Members in Family Business / Entrepreneurship.
This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of a Family Business programme designed around the realities of UAE and GCC family enterprises.
Your Role
You will contribute across teaching, curriculum development, research, industry engagement and academic service, with a particular focus on family-owned businesses and entrepreneurial organisations.
The programme will explore areas including family-business governance, succession, entrepreneurship, strategy, innovation, professionalisation, wealth and intergenerational transition.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Deliver courses across Family Business, Entrepreneurship, Governance, Succession, Strategy and Innovation.
- Develop applied assessments, case studies and experiential learning activities.
- Integrate UAE and GCC family-business cases into teaching and programme content.
- Mentor students and supervise research, dissertations, capstones and consultancy projects.
- Contribute to curriculum development, programme review, assessment design and academic quality.
- Conduct and publish relevant academic research.
- Build relationships with GCC family businesses, family offices, entrepreneurial networks and industry partners.
- Support executive education, advisory projects, guest-speaker programmes and industry-linked student initiatives.
- Contribute to academic committees, student advising, recruitment and accreditation activities.
Must-Have
- Relevant academic and/or professional expertise in Family Business, Entrepreneurship, Management, Strategy, Governance or a closely related discipline.
- PhD / terminal degree for Associate and Assistant Professor appointments.
- Master’s degree or higher for Lecturer appointments.
- Minimum 2+ years of teaching experience within an accredited higher-education institution.
- Research and publication credentials appropriate to the academic level being considered.
- Demonstrated exposure to family-owned businesses or entrepreneurial ecosystems.
- Experience in programme development, research centres, executive education or industry partnerships is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the UAE/GCC family-business landscape is a strong advantage.
- English is mandatory; Arabic is preferred.
- Strong teaching, facilitation, mentoring and stakeholder-engagement capabilities.
- Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain the required MOHESR Equivalency Certificate / Certificate of Recognition.
