Our Client

A leading pharma company in Oman is looking for an accomplished Head of Operations to lead manufacturing, supply chain, maintenance, quality, and overall operational performance across its facility.

Role Overview

You will lead end-to-end operations across manufacturing, supply chain, maintenance, and quality, with responsibility for operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, cost management, and delivery against the company’s growth priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Production, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance functions in line with business objectives.
  • Maintain compliance with Oman Ministry of Health requirements, WHO-GMP, ISO standards, and applicable pharma regulations.
  • Drive operational excellence through Lean, Six Sigma, or related methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Manage plant Opex and Capex budgets, including oversight of operating costs, raw materials, and machinery investments.
  • Strengthen supply chain and procurement effectiveness to support production continuity, cost control, and material availability.
  • Lead recruitment, performance management, and capability development across technical and operational leadership teams.
  • Translate commercial and growth priorities into practical manufacturing and operational plans.

Must-Have

  • B.Pharm or M.Pharm qualification, with an MBA in Operations or a related discipline considered an advantage.
  • 12–15+ years of experience within a pharma company, including at least five years in a senior operational leadership role.
  • Strong experience across manufacturing operations, supply chain, maintenance, quality assurance, and plant performance.
  • Demonstrated expertise in API or pellet manufacturing within a regulated pharma environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Oman Ministry of Health requirements, WHO-GMP, ISO standards, and international regulatory expectations.
  • Exposure to USFDA, EU-GMP, or comparable international pharma audits and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven capability across operational improvement, Opex and Capex management, procurement, stakeholder management, and negotiation.
