Role Overview: We are seeking a good Value Engineering & Planning Manager to be based in Riyadh. This role involves seamless execution of construction projects while maintaining robust cost controls and effective planning. This role involves defining budgets, timelines, and workflows, and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set Project Timelines and Budgets: Work with others to decide how long projects will take and how much they will cost.
- Manage Procurement: Handle the process of getting quotes and buying materials.
- Track Project Progress: Keep an eye on how the project is going to make sure it meets goals.
- Control Costs: Put systems in place to manage spending and keep projects within budget.
- Work with Different Teams: Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams.
- Improve Efficiency: Make workflow better and use resources wisely.
- Identify and Manage Risks: Find potential problems and come up with solutions.
- Ensure Compliance: Follow health, safety, and environmental rules.
- Conduct Reviews: Check performance and find ways to improve.
- Report Progress: Provide updates and insights to leadership.
- Calculate Costs: Figure out costs for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Find Cost-Saving Opportunities: Suggest ways to save money.
- Plan Resources: Manage labor, materials, and equipment to avoid waste and delays.
- Prepare for Future Projects: Plan ahead to ensure resources are available for upcoming projects.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; advanced certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma) are preferred.
- 8+ years in planning, cost management, or similar roles, preferably in construction.
- Familiarity with project planning tools, procurement processes, and budgeting.
