Job Description
Our Client
A well-established industrial business with a nationwide operational footprint is looking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer to support the next phase of operational strengthening, governance enhancement, and commercial discipline.
The business operates within an asset-heavy, operationally intensive environment serving critical industries across the region. The mandate now is clear: improve visibility, strengthen controls, enhance profitability, and build a more performance-driven organisation.
This is not a maintenance CFO role.
Your Role
The CFO will work closely with the CEO and Board to strengthen financial governance, improve operational finance capability, and support long-term business transformation.
This role goes far beyond accounting oversight. The successful candidate must understand operational realities, working capital pressure, industrial cost structures, asset utilisation, and the financial discipline required inside complex operational businesses.
You will partner across operations, supply chain, commercial, and leadership teams to improve profitability visibility, cash discipline, performance reporting, and financial decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strengthen governance frameworks, internal controls, and financial transparency
- Improve profitability visibility across operations, customer segments, and product lines
- Drive working capital improvement, receivables discipline, and liquidity management
- Partner with operational leadership on asset utilisation, logistics efficiency, inventory control, and margin improvement
- Support pricing, tender evaluation, and commercial finance decision-making
- Strengthen financial reporting, KPI visibility, and performance management disciplines
- Lead ERP optimisation and improve finance systems and reporting structures
- Manage banking relationships, audits, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement
- Build and lead a commercially credible finance function aligned with business objectives
Must Have
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Prior CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance leadership experience within industrial, manufacturing, chemicals, engineering, logistics-heavy, or asset-intensive sectors
- Strong exposure to operational finance and commercial finance
- Experience operating within highly governed or listed company environments preferred
- Strong understanding of working capital management, governance, compliance, and transformation initiatives
- Ability to engage effectively with Boards, banks, auditors, regulators, and operational teams
- GCC or Middle East experience strongly preferred
This role requires someone who can operate comfortably across boardrooms, plants, operational reviews, and commercial discussions — bringing financial discipline into environments where execution matters every day.
