Our Client
A large-scale industrial business operating across LPG, industrial processing, storage, and distribution infrastructure is looking to appoint a Head of Engineering to strengthen reliability, operational continuity, plant safety, and engineering performance across critical facilities.
The environment is operationally intensive and highly dependent on uptime, engineering discipline, asset integrity, and strong safety standards. The business now requires a senior engineering leader who can bring structure, reliability, and long-term engineering capability into a complex operational network.
Your Role
You will lead engineering, maintenance, utilities, projects, and technical services across LPG and industrial operations.
This role requires someone who understands the realities of high-risk, continuous operational environments where downtime, equipment failure, or weak maintenance discipline directly impact safety, production continuity, customer commitments, and commercial performance.
You will be expected to strengthen engineering systems, improve preventive maintenance capability, reduce operational interruptions, and support future expansion and infrastructure development initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead all engineering and maintenance operations across LPG, industrial, storage, and operational facilities
- Strengthen preventive and predictive maintenance programs across plant equipment, utilities, filling systems, storage infrastructure, and distribution assets
- Improve plant uptime, reliability, and operational continuity across critical engineering assets
- Drive maintenance planning, shutdown coordination, troubleshooting, and technical response capability
- Lead engineering projects, upgrades, commissioning, and infrastructure expansion initiatives
- Improve spare parts management, maintenance cost control, and asset lifecycle performance
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards across LPG operations
- Partner closely with operations, supply chain, production, and HSE teams to strengthen operational discipline
- Build engineering capability, succession planning, and technical leadership across teams
- Support long-term asset management and infrastructure modernization initiatives
Must Have
- 15+ years of engineering leadership experience within LPG, industrial gases, chemicals, energy, utilities, or other asset-intensive industrial environments
- Strong exposure to LPG operations, filling plants, storage infrastructure, utilities, and maintenance management
- Proven experience managing high-risk operational environments with strict safety and compliance standards
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance systems, reliability engineering, asset integrity, and engineering controls
- Exposure to plant expansion, commissioning, shutdown management, or infrastructure upgrade projects
- Ability to lead engineering teams in fast-paced operational environments where uptime and safety are non-negotiable
- GCC or Middle East experience preferred
