Our client is a well-established FMCG manufacturing company based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, operating in a high-volume food and beverage production environment. With a strong market presence and continuous investment in plant performance, safety, and sustainability, the company is focused on operational excellence and energy optimization across its manufacturing facilities.
Role Overview
The Senior Utilities & Facilities Supervisor is a critical site-level role responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and energy-efficient operation of all plant utilities and facilities systems. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical depth, operational discipline, and the ability to manage technicians and contractors within a fast-paced FMCG factory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous operation and availability of all plant utilities including:
- Boilers and steam systems
- Compressors and compressed air systems
- HVAC and chillers
- Refrigeration systems
- Generators and electrical distribution
- Water treatment and RO systems
- Support uninterrupted production by minimizing utilities-related downtime.
- Own and monitor site energy consumption (electricity, diesel, and water) and lead energy-saving initiatives.
- Analyze utilities performance data and implement corrective actions for deviations.
- Develop and enforce preventive maintenance programs (target ≥95% compliance).
- Reduce unplanned breakdowns through structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Manage HVAC performance to maintain comfort standards and eliminate recurring complaints.
- Lead utilities improvement projects, upgrades, and CAPEX evaluations.
- Supervise, coach, and manage utilities technicians and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, GMP, and company policies.
- Prepare regular performance, energy, and KPI reports for management.
- Oversee spare parts control and basic inventory management for utilities and garage operations.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in utilities and facilities operations within an industrial or FMCG manufacturing environment (food/beverage preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in energy monitoring and cost optimization initiatives.
- Strong preventive maintenance planning and breakdown reduction track record.
- Proven leadership experience managing technicians and contractors in a factory environment.
- Familiar with GMP, safety regulations, and structured operational standards.
- Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Mature, stable profile with the ability to handle operational pressure and engage with senior stakeholders
