Your Role

This role leads end-to-end manufacturing operations at a key production site, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality output while driving the next wave of operational transformation. You will be accountable not only for day-to-day performance, but also for shaping the factory of the future through lean manufacturing, automation and smart manufacturing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Developing and executing the manufacturing strategy and annual operating plan in line with overall business objectives.
  • Owning the manufacturing budget, planning and managing labor, materials and overhead, and driving cost optimization through efficiency and waste-reduction initiatives.
  • Ensuring robust production planning and execution to meet demand, inventory and service targets, while minimizing downtime and bottlenecks.
  • Overseeing core manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to specifications, optimal resource utilization and continuous improvement in throughput and quality.
  • Guaranteeing compliance with safety, food safety (where applicable), quality and regulatory standards, and leading internal and external audits and corrective actions.
  • Leading the implementation of new production lines and technologies, from business case and design through installation, commissioning and stabilization.
  • Driving lean and smart manufacturing initiatives to improve OEE, cycle times, waste levels and energy efficiency, embedding continuous improvement into daily operations.
  • Developing, coaching and performance-managing manufacturing teams, building both technical depth and leadership capability across the site.

Must-Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in manufacturing operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership role; strong preference for FMCG or food manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale production operations and delivering measurable improvements in OEE, yield, waste, cost and service levels.
  • Strong expertise in lean manufacturing and automation, with familiarity in manufacturing execution systems and ERP integration.
  • Deep understanding of safety, quality and regulatory standards, supported by a strong audit and compliance track record.
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • High comfort with transformation, including the ability to challenge the status quo, lead change on the shop floor and operate at pace
