Our client: is a leading regional consumer goods manufacturing organization known for its strong portfolio in the food category.

Role Purpose:

As Key Account Manager, you will lead Modern Trade channel development across Saudi Arabia. You will drive strategic account growth, lead negotiations, manage promotional investments, and build long-term retailer relationships. This is a commercially critical role with full P&L accountability for your accounts and direct influence on the company’s retail execution and visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Account Development & Strategic Planning
  • Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) with top national and regional retailers.
  • Develop tailored account strategies with clear growth KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to expand distribution, shelf space, and in-store presence.
  1. Commercial Management
  • Negotiate annual trade terms, listing fees, and activation calendars.
  • Manage promo planning and post-promo evaluation to ensure return on investment.
  • Own account-level P&L and budgeting.
  1. Execution Excellence
  • Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to deliver flawless new product launches and campaign execution.
  • Supervise area teams to ensure high merchandising standards and execution of plans at store level.
  1. Market & Customer Insights
  • Leverage Nielsen/market data to identify gaps, size opportunities, and recommend customer-specific plans.
  • Track competitor activity and market dynamics to adjust strategies accordingly.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as the primary point of contact for retail buyers and senior decision-makers.
  • Build strong, trust-based partnerships that drive long-term growth.

Must-Have Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience:
    8+ years of Key Account Management experience in FMCG (preferably food) in Saudi Arabia, with strong exposure to major key accounts.
  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Commercial Acumen:
    Strong negotiation skills, budget ownership, and promotional planning experience. Proven track record of delivering sales growth and ROI.
  • Analytical Ability:
    Skilled in reading Nielsen/IRI data, performance dashboards, and building insight-based customer proposals.
  • Execution Mindset:
    Comfortable working cross-functionally and managing frontline execution across territories.
  • Languages:
    Fluent in English; Arabic is a strong plus.
