A soon-to-be opened Banking & Finance college in Dubai. As the institution prepares for launch, technology will be a critical enabler of academic delivery, student experience, and operational efficiency.
Your Role
As IT Manager, you will design, implement, and manage the full technology environment for the college from core infrastructure and campus networks to SIS/LMS platforms ensuring it is secure, reliable, and scalable for future growth.
Working closely with the PMO and Dean, you will build the IT backbone of a new higher education institution from the ground up.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining the IT architecture for launch: infrastructure, networks, end-user devices, classroom technology, SIS/LMS, and collaboration tools
- Leading the selection and implementation of SIS and LMS platforms aligned with academic, operational, and reporting needs
- Overseeing the full IT fit-out of the campus: cabling, Wi-Fi, AV equipment, computer labs, and staff workstations
- Establishing IT policies and procedures covering access control, data security, backup, acceptable use, and incident response
- Managing vendor relationships (hardware, software, managed services) and service level agreements
- Designing and running user support processes (helpdesk/ticketing) for faculty, staff, and students
- Ensuring compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, and regulatory expectations
- Maintaining an IT asset register and structured replacement/upgrade plans
- Aligning systems and standards with Al Mulla Holding’s IT roadmap to enable future integration
This role requires a hands-on builder who can operate strategically while being comfortable in a greenfield set-up environment.
Must-Have
- 7–12 years of IT experience, including 3+ years in education, training, campus environments, or similar service organisations
- Experience implementing or managing SIS/LMS and education-relevant technologies (strong advantage)
- Comfortable working hands-on in a start-up or greenfield environment
- Strong vendor management, prioritisation, and communication skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language for leadership
