A well-known organization in the consumer goods industry.

Your Role:

The role is with a well-known organization in the consumer goods industry, seeking a Head of Legal with strong company secretary experience. This role is part of a lean structure and requires an agile professional with expertise in developing and implementing guidelines for asset management, policies & laws, intellectual property, litigation, regulatory compliance, statutory vigilance, and attending to all other legal matters. The successful candidate will develop and implement legal strategies, manage litigation and regulatory compliance, and track regulatory updates to advise stakeholders. The Key responsibilities include serving as the company secretary, overseeing contract management, monitoring legislation, liaising with judicial and governmental agencies, advising on risk management strategies, and leading the legal team.

Must Haves:

Candidates should have a law degree, 15+ years of experience in consumer goods or related industries, including 5+ years in an independent legal role, and proven company secretary experience is a must-have. Experience in Middle East markets, strong corporate governance knowledge, regulatory compliance, risk management skills, and excellent communication and leadership abilities are preferred.
