They are strengthening leadership capabilities to enhance operational discipline, elevate channel performance, and build scalable structures across retail, foodservice, and wholesale. This role is a critical part of that modernization agenda.
Your Role
As the Business Unit Director, you will lead the full commercial, operational, and P&L agenda for the market. The role carries end-to-end ownership of three core verticals, Retail, Foodservice, and Wholesale, with a mandate to drive sustainable growth, operational rigor, and revenue quality across all channels.
You will be accountable for building scalable commercial structures, elevating field execution, strengthening principal partnerships, and enforcing disciplined channel segmentation. The position requires a leader who can balance strategic direction with hands-on operational management, bringing clarity to a complex environment while uplifting overall team capability.
This role serves as the primary driver of profitability, customer engagement, market development, and commercial governance, with a clear mandate to accelerate transformation and modernize legacy operating practices.
Must-Have
- Significant experience in FMCG / food distribution leadership across multi-channel environments.
- Proven track record driving P&L ownership with strong commercial and operational discipline.
- Deep exposure to retail, traditional trade, and foodservice route-to-market structures.
- Experience managing principal relationships, business reviews, and commercial negotiations.
- Strong capability in structure-building: KPIs, SOPs, forecasting, governance, and team development.
- Ability to lead diverse, cross-border teams in fast-moving, high-expectation environments.
- High accountability mindset with low-ego, field-driven leadership style.
- Comfort balancing legacy operational setups with modern commercial practices.
- Fluency in English; Arabic an advantage.
