Role Overview

To lead regional sales and distribution performance across assigned territories. The role is responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening distributor operations, and ensuring high standards of in-market execution.

This position requires a hands-on commercial professional with strong distributor management experience, deep knowledge of route-to-market structures, and the ability to translate strategy into measurable market results.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales, revenue, and market share targets across the assigned region.
  • Lead and manage distributor performance, ensuring effective coverage, stock availability, and disciplined execution.
  • Strengthen Route-to-Market (RTM) structures to optimize coverage models, sales force productivity, and outlet servicing efficiency.
  • Drive numeric distribution growth and improve penetration across traditional retail outlets and wholesalers.
  • Ensure excellence in execution including product availability, visibility standards, pricing compliance, and promotional rollouts.
  • Identify commercial opportunities through market analysis, competitor tracking, and customer insights.
  • Develop regional business plans aligned with national growth priorities and channel strategy.
  • Collaborate with Trade Marketing to execute in-market activations and category growth initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain to minimize stock gaps and improve inventory planning at distributor level.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective action plans to close sales or execution gaps.
  • Prepare regular business reviews, forecasting updates, and performance dashboards for leadership reporting.

 

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of FMCG commercial experience with strong exposure to Traditional Trade operations.
  • Proven track record in distributor management and territory leadership.
  • Strong understanding of RTM design, channel segmentation, and field execution fundamentals.
  • Commercially astute with solid analytical and financial understanding.
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment with high accountability.
  • Experience managing regional sales teams or distributor sales forces is advantageous.
