 Role Overview

As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading the sales function for a premium heavy machinery equipment portfolio across Iraq. You will develop and execute sales strategies, achieve revenue and profitability targets, expand market share, and build long-term relationships with contractors, construction companies, equipment rental businesses, industrial customers, and government entities.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the annual sales strategy and action plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and manage the sales pipeline to deliver volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key customers, major contractors, project owners, and equipment buyers.
  • Personally engage with strategic customers and major prospects to secure new business opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Work closely with the Parts and Service teams to deliver a seamless customer experience and maximize customer retention.
  • Ensure equipment inventory is effectively managed in collaboration with the operations team to support sales requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales team through regular performance reviews, sales coaching, and product training.
  • Monitor operational performance, sales activities, and budgets, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events, and commercial negotiations.

Must-Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of sales management experience within construction equipment, heavy machinery, commercial vehicles, mining equipment, or a related industry.
  • Proven experience achieving sales targets and managing key customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, and business development skills.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent understanding of dealer management, project sales, and capital equipment sales.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential. Arabic and/or Kurdish would be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel across Iraq as required.
