Our client is a fast-scaling FMCG business with a strong operational base in Saudi Arabia and a growing footprint across the wider region.
The portfolio spans multiple consumer categories with solid brand presence and entrenched relationships across modern trade, traditional trade, wholesale, and emerging channels. The business has reached a pivotal stage: operational execution alone will not unlock the next phase of growth. What is now required is structured commercial architecture, sharper revenue management, and disciplined market strategy.
The Saudi FMCG market has evolved. Growth today belongs to leaders who can turn channel complexity, retailer pressure, and rising cost dynamics into sustainable commercial advantage.
Your Role
As Chief Sales Officer, based in Riyadh, you will own the full commercial agenda for Saudi Arabia while building a scalable and credible export platform.
You will:
- Set and lead the national sales strategy across modern trade, traditional trade, wholesale, e-commerce, and discounters
- Translate strategy into clear channel, customer, and geography-level execution plans
- Align route-to-market design, trade investment, pricing, and mix decisions directly to P&L outcomes
- Partner closely with trade marketing, business development, finance, and supply chain to ensure commercial decisions are executable and profitable
- Build structured commercial governance, performance routines, and operating discipline
- Develop sales capability through academies, succession pipelines, and leadership bench strength
A critical element of this mandate is organisation building. You are expected to institutionalise systems not just drive numbers. You will operate confidently with CEOs and boards, defending and shaping strategy through data, insight, and market reality.
Must-Have
We are looking for a commercial builder with deep Saudi FMCG expertise.
You bring:
- 18+ years of experience in consumer goods, food, or beverage sectors
- Deep Saudi Arabia exposure, with broader Middle East market experience
- Clear progression from operational sales into senior commercial leadership
- Experience across both principal and distributor environments
- Proven track record in route-to-market design, sales structure redesign, and commercial transformation
- Demonstrated experience building sales academies, governance frameworks, performance routines, and succession pipelines
- Strong P&L exposure, including pricing strategy, trade terms, mix optimisation, and trade investment discipline
- Exposure to e-commerce and discounter strategy, with evidence of proactive market positioning
- Board-level credibility and comfort defending plans using data and insight
- Fluency in English (Arabic strongly preferred)
