Our Client: is a leading UAE-based food manufacturing company specializing in dairy and value-added food products.
Your Role: The Head of Engineering will oversee all technical, maintenance, and engineering functions within a dairy processing and packaging facility. The role ensures plant reliability, efficiency, and safety through proactive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the engineering and maintenance teams for dairy production facilities.
- Design and implement preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and optimization of dairy processing and packaging equipment.
- Manage capital projects (CAPEX) including design, vendor selection, budgeting, and execution.
- Ensure operational excellence in utilities management – refrigeration, boilers, steam, water treatment, and HVAC.
- Drive energy optimization, equipment reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, food hygiene, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective measures for equipment breakdowns.
- Support production and QA teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant operations.
- Build technical capabilities across the engineering team through training and mentoring.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10 + years of engineering management experience in dairy, food & beverage, or FMCG plants.
- Strong understanding of dairy processing technologies (pasteurization, homogenization, filling, packaging).
- Proven track record in managing CAPEX projects and maintenance teams.
- Expertise in automation systems (PLC/SCADA) and process control.
- Sound knowledge of utilities, energy management, and safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
