Our Client:

A leading consumer goods manufacturing company.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will oversee all the maintenance activities across the company’s facilities in Muscat. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing maintenance strategies, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring optimal performance of mechanical, electrical, and civil assets. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, hands-on leadership, and a strong understanding of industrial maintenance within the food manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of maintenance strategies across all operational sites.
  • Manage daily maintenance operations including preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
  • Supervise a team of maintenance supervisors and technical staff across electrical, mechanical, and fabrication disciplines.
  • Collaborate with asset owners and cross-functional departments to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
  • Oversee maintenance planning, budgeting, and cost control to support operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across all maintenance activities.
  • Optimize spare parts usage and standardization, and manage maintenance backlogs in line with global best practices.
  • Lead contractor and vendor management, including technical evaluations and performance oversight.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, performance metrics, and condition monitoring systems.
  • Support national objectives by mentoring and developing Omani talent within the maintenance function.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
  • 12+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 10 years in food manufacturing space and 4+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing complex maintenance contracts and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems, equipment lifecycle management, and rotating/static equipment.
  • Hands-on experience in maintenance execution and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with HSE, risk management, and quality assurance principles.
  • Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English, with fluency in technical and financial terminology.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
