A leading organization in the agricultural commodities trading industry, focused on sourcing grains and other essential food ingredients across global markets. The company is expanding its analytical and procurement capabilities to support smarter, data-driven sourcing decisions.

Role Overview:
The Procurement Manager (Market Intelligence) will serve as the commercial brain behind sourcing decisions, combining analytical rigor with supplier relationship management. This role is responsible for tracking global crop cycles, analyzing market trends, and providing actionable intelligence to support trading and procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will bridge data insights with commercial instincts to help the business make timely and profitable buying decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor global crop cycles, weather patterns, and pricing trends to inform sourcing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a supplier database across key international origins.
  • Prepare market intelligence reports and forecasting models to support trading decisions.
  • Identify and engage with new suppliers in major grain-producing regions.
  • Support contract management, scheduling, and payment tracking.
  • Advise the trading team on emerging risks, price movements, and sourcing opportunities.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of sourcing plans.

Your Profile:

  • 5–8 years of experience in commodity analysis or procurement, preferably in agricultural commodities.
  • Strong expertise in market intelligence, including crop reports, weather analysis, and price forecasting.
  • Proven experience managing supplier relationships across international sourcing markets.
  • Solid analytical foundation with commercial instincts and decision-making ability.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data tools for tracking trends, comparing quotes, and organizing buying schedules.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
