Country Sales Manager

A privately held FMCG manufacturing group with a strong footprint in consumer goods and hygiene products.

Your Role

As the Country Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading sales and distribution operations across Iraq, ensuring strong market coverage, efficient logistics, and consistent execution of commercial activities.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring close coordination with distributors, retailers, logistics partners, and regional management to build a strong and profitable market presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales performance and achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets across Iraq.
• Establish, develop, and manage distributor relationships across traditional and modern trade channels.
• Oversee import coordination, customs clearance, warehousing, inventory movement, and distribution operations.
• Expand market coverage, strengthen retail penetration, and secure product visibility across key outlets.
• Execute trade marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, merchandising, and in-store activations in line with head office plans.
• Negotiate distributor agreements, trade terms, credit arrangements, and commercial margins.
• Monitor competitor activities, market trends, sales performance, and distribution effectiveness, providing regular updates to regional management.

Must-Have

• 6–10+ years of FMCG sales experience, with strong exposure to distribution and logistics operations.
• Experience in baby care, diapers, personal hygiene, detergents, or related FMCG categories strongly preferred.
• Proven experience managing distributors, wholesale networks, and retail channels.
• Strong understanding of traditional trade, modern trade, pricing, margins, and credit management.
• Hands-on experience coordinating supply chain, warehousing, and product distribution.
• Fluent Arabic communication skills with the ability to manage local trade relationships.
• Previous experience in Iraq or similar Middle Eastern markets will be a strong advantage.
