Our Client:
A well-established consumer goods organization with a significant operational footprint in Iraq. The business is seeking an accomplished HR Director to lead its Human Capital agenda, strengthen organizational capability and build a high performing, business focused HR function.
Your Role:
Reporting to the General Director, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for defining and executing the people strategy across the Iraq business. You will lead the HR, Administration and HSE functions, with a strong focus on organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, talent, performance, employee relations and operational excellence.
A key priority will be to strengthen the HR leadership structure and drive transformation across the function. You will build critical capabilities, establish clear governance and accountability, and ensure HR is positioned as a strong strategic partner to the business.
You will advise senior leadership on organizational and people priorities, lead change and restructuring initiatives, manage complex employee and stakeholder matters, and strengthen succession, performance and engagement across the organization.
Must-Have:
- Extensive HR experience with a proven track record in senior HR leadership roles within large, complex organizations.
- Strong multinational experience combined with exposure to regional, or family-owned businesses.
- Demonstrated success in HR transformation, organization development, restructuring and change management.
- Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders, navigate complex business environments and manage conflict effectively.
- Broad HR leadership experience across talent, succession, performance, employee relations, reward and HR operations.
- Proven experience building and developing strong HR teams and leadership capability.
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, consumer goods, industrial or similar operational environments is highly preferred.
- Commercially astute, decisive and capable of operating as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
- Willingness to be based in Karbala, Iraq.
