Our client : A well known name in the consumer goods industry .
Your role : As the Senior Manager, Exports you will play a crucial role in driving the international sales strategy, managing key relationships, and ensuring streamlined operations across all export channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive export strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and objectives.
  • Forecast, analyze, and track key account metrics for international sales, identifying growth opportunities and areas of improvement.

Operations Management:

  • Oversee all export operations, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely and cost-effective product shipments.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders in international markets.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit.

Market Research:

  • Monitor international market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to inform business decisions.
  • Identify new market opportunities and potential risks.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of export professionals, setting clear performance objectives and providing regular feedback.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all export documentation and certifications are accurate and up to date.
  • Stay abreast of changes in international trade regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in export management or international sales, within the consumer goods sector.
  • Demonstrated understanding of international trade regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience and established networks in Africa and other markets.
