Your role : As the Senior Manager, Exports you will play a crucial role in driving the international sales strategy, managing key relationships, and ensuring streamlined operations across all export channels.
Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive export strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and objectives.
- Forecast, analyze, and track key account metrics for international sales, identifying growth opportunities and areas of improvement.
- Oversee all export operations, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely and cost-effective product shipments.
- Build and maintain relationships with distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders in international markets.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit.
- Monitor international market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to inform business decisions.
- Identify new market opportunities and potential risks.
- Lead and mentor a team of export professionals, setting clear performance objectives and providing regular feedback.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all export documentation and certifications are accurate and up to date.
- Stay abreast of changes in international trade regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in export management or international sales, within the consumer goods sector.
- Demonstrated understanding of international trade regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience and established networks in Africa and other markets.
