Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Key Account Executive to manage and grow relationships with key retail accounts, including Carrefour, Spinneys, and other prominent supermarkets and hypermarkets. This role will be instrumental in driving sales growth and ensuring a strong partnership between our client and its retail partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management & Relationship Building:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key retail accounts such as Carrefour, Spinneys, and other supermarkets/hypermarkets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for retail clients, ensuring exceptional service and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Sales Strategy & Performance:
- Collaborate closely with the Commercial Manager to execute account strategies and achieve sales targets.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Negotiation & Profitability Management:
- Negotiate terms, promotional activities, and product listings to maximize profitability and market share within assigned accounts.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, providing insights and actionable recommendations for account growth.
- Utilize sales data and market analysis to forecast trends and support strategic decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams such as supply chain, marketing, and finance to ensure seamless account management and product availability.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products, addressing any issues related to order fulfillment.
- Market Trends & Competitive Analysis:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities to keep the business competitive.
Key Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the FMCG sector, with a strong background in managing key retail accounts.
- Analytical Skills:
- Ability to analyse sales data, market trends, and customer behaviour to make informed decisions and drive account growth.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
- Negotiation Skills:
- Proven ability to negotiate terms and conditions with retailers to secure the best possible outcomes for the business.
- Team Player:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving:
- Ability to handle challenges, resolve issues, and make decisions that align with business goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Experience working with retailers like Carrefour and Spinneys is highly desirable.
