Our client : A multinational in the consumer goods arena.

Your role: Lobbyist, public affairs expert, seasoned statesman , internal, external communications , government relations, corporate social responsibility, media relations, crisis management, unlocking road blocks……Well if you have successfully negotiated these areas of work and have an enviable track record in especially managing government relations ..then we have an exciting mandate that we are currently working on for a conglomerate with a substantial footprint in the MEA region.

Strategic Communication and Branding: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to enhance the company’s reputation and brand image. This includes overseeing public relations, corporate communications, and media relations.

Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as government officials, business partners, community leaders, and the media.

Government and Regulatory Affairs: Monitor and influence policy developments relevant to the company’s interests. Liaise with government agencies and legislative bodies to advocate for favorable policies and regulations, has good connection with ministry of commerce and industrial, Saudi food and drugs authority – SFDA, ministry of economic, ministry of investment, ministry of labor law and all other authorities.

Crisis Management: Lead the response to any public relations crisis or controversies that affect the company. Develop and execute crisis communication plans to mitigate negative impacts on the company’s reputation.

Internal Communications: Foster effective internal communication strategies to ensure employees are informed and engaged with the company’s goals, values, and initiatives.

Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Oversee the development and implementation of CSR programs and sustainability initiatives. Ensure these programs align with the company’s values and enhance its public image.

Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of industry trends, public opinion, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.

Must have : Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree is preferable.

Extensive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field, with a proven track record in a leadership role.

Strong understanding of government processes, public policy, and regulatory environments.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage crises and handle sensitive issues with discretion and integrity.

Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Highly ethical and transparent in dealings.

Charismatic and influential leader.

Resilient and adaptable to fast-paced environments.

This role requires a blend of strategic vision, communication expertise, and strong leadership qualities and deep understanding of the food business with strong networks in the industry and government.
