Role Overview
As the Chief Sales Officer, you will be a key member of our client’s executive team, responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability. You will lead a diverse and talented sales team, overseeing B2B, B2C, and other sales channels. Your strategic vision and operational expertise will be crucial in expanding our client’s market presence and achieving their ambitious business goals.
Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with our client’s business objectives. Provide visionary leadership to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a large sales team, ensuring effective collaboration and a focus on achieving sales targets. Drive team development through training and performance management.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive top-line and bottom-line growth through innovative sales initiatives. Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Market Expansion: Increase market share by expanding into new regions and channels. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Profitability Management: Manage profitability through effective pricing strategies, cost control, and efficient operations. Ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
  • Sales Operations: Oversee sales operations, including demand forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Ensure the sales team has the tools and resources needed to succeed.
  • Customer Focus: Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences. Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional service and product offerings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, supply chain, and finance departments to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 18+ years of experience in sales leadership roles within the food industry. Proven track record of driving significant results in B2B, B2C, and other sales channels.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and inspire high performance. Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of the food business, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. Ability to develop and execute commercial strategies that drive growth.
  • Results-Driven: Strong focus on achieving financial targets, increasing market share, and managing profitability. Proven success in delivering top and bottom-line growth.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Operational Expertise: Experience in managing sales operations, including demand forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Familiarity with sales tools and technologies.
  • Customer Orientation: Passion for understanding and meeting customer needs. Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
