Our client: is looking to hire a Category Team Lead. This position requires a blend of industry expertise, analytical skills, and effective cross-functional cooperation to drive the growth and profitability of the category.
The role: In the realm of Market Research & Analysis, the role involves the continuous monitoring and examination of market trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape. Leveraging data for insights, growth opportunities are identified within the category. Managing Product Assortment & Range entails the development and maintenance of an optimized product selection aligned with the company’s strategy and customer needs, ensuring the right mix of brands and products, and introducing new items while phasing out underperformers. Supplier Relationship Management focuses on establishing and nurturing relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, including contract negotiations and price optimization. Collaboration with sales, marketing, and tech teams is vital to enhance product listings, promotions, and tech solutions for clients. Performance Tracking is conducted to regularly monitor and report on category performance metrics and make strategic adjustments. Gathering Customer Insights from clients helps understand their needs and inform product development. Training and Development involve staying updated on tech trends and sharing knowledge with the team. Compliance and Standards are maintained to ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards, with collaboration with legal and compliance teams to stay informed about changes in tech regulations.
Must Haves: Bachelor’s degree in Business with a focus on Supply Chain Management. A minimum of 10 years in category management. You should possess strong analytical abilities, negotiation skills, and a proven track record in project management. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
